Following pressure from the Rolls-Royce and Bentley Specialist's Association (of which IntroCar is a member), Bentley Motors have reversed their decision that would have restricted sales of parts for heritage Rolls-Royce and Bentley models to resellers from January 2023. They have recognised the part that independent suppliers perform in maintaining these vehicles, in particular the concentration of expertise and passion for these models, which is simply not found in the large majority of franchised Bentley dealerships throughout the world.
The models affected are detailed below. This news is hot off the press, so we will be seeking further clarification in the course of the following days and weeks.
We at IntroCar regard this as an excellent decision, although it still presents some difficulties in relation to supply of parts for non-heritage models, where supply can still be patchy. It also represents a huge victory for the RRBSA, without which this reversal simply would not have happened.
