Reconditioned Rolls-Royce & Bentley Parts - how to keep your classic on the road affordably!
Part of our commitment to the Rolls-Royce & Bentley community is to provide many products on a Reconditioned Exchange basis to ensure that you are able to keep your classics on the road comfortably and affordably without compromising on quality. Our top priority is that not only do you get to enjoy your car every time you get into it without a constant patch up repair required, but that over time you can improve the life of your vehicle with continued investment into its healthy running.
Unfortunately, everything has a life span, & these classics do need regular attention as constant use over a lifetime will create wear & tear on some key parts and spares... and these cars were built to last a lifetime!
Our Research & Development team works hard continuing to bring new products each and every month that are not only affordable but also help to prolong and improve your car's ride. Some parts however are far too complex to affordably retool - the end product has to be affordable for the customer & we take a number of things into considerations when creating a new product from scratch.
There are therefore still some products, 800-900 approximately in our current catalogue of parts, where we offer a Reconditioned Exchange item - where we will recondition your old unit and get it working like new. This saves you buying a completely new unit if it is in fact available at all, and it keeps the unit in circulation to avoid another NLA item joining the list!
These parts that we recondition tend to be very hard to find and have limited stock and this is the reason why we work on an exchange basis with them. In order to always have some available for customers we will need to get your old part back once you have removed it from your vehicle. Often we are able to send you a reconditioned item off the shelf with immediate availability, which is great for continued use of your vehicle!
However to ensure we get a replacement unit back to recondition and restock that item, we need to charge a refundable surcharge amount. This is normally a nominal amount to cover the shelf cost of the core unit and is refunded immediately on receipt of a restorable unit.
In some cases, if you provide us with your unit upfront, we will not need to apply a surcharge amount to your order, we simply recondition your own unit and return it to you. For this, please contact our sales team to order. To order a reconditioned item upfront with a surcharge, and subsequently return your core unit, simply order reconditioned items online by browsing for units via your car model.
For example; Gearbox Actuator RH2551 is a difficult part to find and very expensive if you buy it as an original unit (RRP £2,507.48) & it is currently out of stock at the factory at the time of writing this. You can however, get our reconditioned unit for less than £500 (£436.00). We add a surcharge of £250 to ensure the safe return of your core unit to restore and replace this valuable unit. Through this exchange you pay less for replacing this item and we get to keep parts such as this and others including Piper Window Motor PW50388/9, Heater Actuator UD11226, & Accumulator Valve Assembly UE39519 in stock for both you again in the future and your fellow enthusiast classic motorists.
