Fitting Instructions - Prestige Parts® Stone Guard Rubbers

These stone guards are made from a modern high specification synthetic rubber with excellent weathering properties, used on many modern cars as original equipment. Because of the position of these parts on the vehicle, we recommend carefully following these instructions to ensure perfect adhesion to the bodywork.

Part Numbers: RB3524-X, RB3525-X, RB3826-X & RB3827-X

• Remove any wax from the paintwork of the vehicle.

• Carefully mask the area around which the stone guards are to be fitted and rub down the paintwork to provide a key for the adhesive.

• Remove the masking tape and, using the stone guards, mark their intended position with chalk or removable marker.

• We recommend using G1-156-X adhesive or, alternatively, Dunlop S1358 adhesive, both of which have excellent performance under a wide range of temperatures.

• To aid good adhesion, prime the back of the stone guard and the bodywork with one coat of adhesive and leave to dry.

• Apply a second coat of adhesive to stone guard and bodywork and leave until tacky or very dry.

• Carefully line up the stone guard with the markings made earlier and bring together, applying pressure to all areas of the rubber.

• The adhesive will take up to 24 hours to fully cure.
