SILVER SERAPH

This is a 4-door full-size luxury car sedan type, produced from 1998 to 2002. The company had built up the reputation to build "the best car in the world" during the early years of the 20th century with the Silver Ghost and now unveiled the Silver Seraph as their interpretation of being in the lead into the 21st century.

The coachwork design incorporated styling elements with a faint resemblance of previous coachwork on Rolls-Royce. The body's torsional stiffness was stated to have been increased by 65 % compared to that of the predecessor. "State of the art" electronics were employed for digital engine management, computer controlled ZF 5-speed automatic gearbox and adaptive ride control as well as the brakes' anti-locking device to name but a vital few. There was no break with tradition as regards the interior: it did comfort the most demanding passengers still with a perfect blend of finest leather having been selected for seats and trim and dashboard, cappings and picnic tables executed in glossy walnut veneer.

CORNICHE

This is a 2-door full-size luxury car convertible type, produced from 1998 to 2002. The debut of the new Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible in January 2000 marked the first step into the new century for Rolls-Royce. The drophead coupé's unique identity was accentuated by a swaging from the top of the front wing to the bottom of the rear wing.

  • Aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head
  • 5-speed automatic gearbox
  • Digital engine control

PARK WARD

This is a 4-door full-size luxury car convertible type, produced from 2000 to 2002. Meticulous attention had been devoted to balance the lines by extending both the front and rear doors - with the attractive side effect of easier access and egress from the motor car. Adding polished chrome rails to the sills were another cleverly executed attempt to make the car's massive coachwork appearing lighter than in fact it was.

Technical Data:
  • 12 cylinder 60 degree V-configuration
  • Aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head
  • 5-speed automatic gearbox
  • Digital engine control
  • independent suspension front and rear with adaptive ride control
  • Ventilated disc brakes with anti-locking device
  • Wheelbase 3,366 mm (132.5 in)
  • Tyre size 255/65R16

PHANTOM VII

This is a 4-door full-size luxury car sedan type, produced from 2003 to 2012. The four-door body was made as an aluminium space frame structure; less heavy and substantially more rigid than a steel body of equal size. Rear-hinged rear doors combined easy access for rear seat occupants with the advantage that photos could be taken with no door frame protruding into the photo when the door was open. Keeping in mind the clientele that was envisaged as prospective customers the coachwork had been designed "media-friendly".

The engineers though had succeeded tremendously well to make any long-standing Rolls-Royce owner feel "right at home" once on board the new Phantom. No compromise as regards choice of material - finest leather trim, genuine wool carpets and carefully selected wood. The "bull's eye" air-conditioning outlets were exact copies of what was to be found on previous models and that could be stated of the shape of some knobs in the fascia, too. The Phantom was available as a 5-seater. "Lounge" version being equipped with a rear bench offering space for three occupants. Optional "Theatre" version could be selected with two individual rear seats divided by a centre console - thus  making the car into a 4-seater.

Technical Data:
  • 12 cylinder 60 degree V-configuration
  • Aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head
  • 6-speed automatic gearbox
  • Digital engine control
  • independent suspension front and rear
  • Ventilated disc brakes with anti-locking device
  • Wheelbase 3,220 mm (140,55 in); Extended wheelbase version 3,820 mm
  • Tyre size 255/50R21W on 8x21 rims at the front, and 285/45R21W on 9.5x21 rims at the rear

PHANTOM DROPHEAD COUPE

This is a 2-door full-size luxury car convertible type, still in production since 2007. In the meantime the specially erected factory at Goodwood in the South of England had been used for manufacturing the Rolls-Royce Phantom, a four door saloon. Sales figures for that model had been significantly low when compared to what had been anticipated at start of production and could hardly have been a source of profit for the parent company BMW. It had been no mystery that there was need to extend the model-range to generate sufficient revenue to cover the cost of the Goodwood investment. This was, of course, a key factor for the economic future of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Technical Data:
  • 12 cylinder 60 degree V-configuration
  • Aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head
  • 6-speed automatic gearbox
  • Digital engine control
  • independent suspension front and rear
  • Ventilated disc brakes with anti-locking device
  • Wheelbase 3,320 mm (130,7 in)
  • Michelin tyres PAX265x790 R540 A 11W on light alloy wheels PAX265x540A ALU (optional tyre size: front Goodyear EMT 255/50R21 106W on alloy wheels 8x21 and rear Goodyear EMT 285/45R21 109W on alloy wheels 9.5x21 rims at the rear)

PHANTOM COUPE

This is a 2-door full-size luxury car convertible type, still in production since 2008. The latest addition to the range offered by the worldwide dealer network was an obviously driver-oriented car and thus separated to a certain degree from the Drophead Coupé. There was a distinct difference to the cosseted transport experience on board the 4-Door Saloon especially as regards driving characteristics of the variant with extended wheelbase. All models did share the tractable and unstressed V12-engine with 453 bhp (SAE) but the Coupé with the short wheelbase of 3,320 mm almost inspired to enjoy that the engine liked to rev. An instant after the Sport button on the steering wheel had been pressed such feeling was more intense. Launch was in 1st gear and not in 2nd, each gear was raised to a higher shift point, quicker accelerator response was provided plus a faster kick-down and the dampers were stiffened, too. Roadholding of the new coupe was an impeccable blend of firm tyre grip and carefully tuned stiffer rear damping and modified spring rates.

Technical Data:
  • 12 cylinder 60 degree V-configuration
  • Aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head
  • 6-speed automatic gearbox
  • Digital engine control
  • independent suspension front and rear
  • Ventilated disc brakes with anti-locking device
  • Wheelbase 3,320 mm (130,7 in)
  • Michelin tyres PAX265x790 R540 A 11W on light alloy wheels PAX265x540A ALU (optional tyre size: front Goodyear EMT 255/50R21 106W on alloy wheels 8x21 and rear Goodyear EMT 285/45R21 109W on alloy wheels 9.5x21 rims at the rear)

PHANTOM GHOST

This is a 4-door full-size luxury car coupe type, still in production since 2009. Neither layout and nor dimensions of the Rolls-Royce Ghost were a surprise. As regards the car's outward appearance the public was already pretty well informed from the concept car Rolls-Royce 200EX described as "almost identical to series-standard" having toured shows and meetings around the world during the previous year. The interior of the car was known, too, as were the essential technical figures. Measuring at rather grand scale with 212.6in length (5,399mm), 61in height (1,550mm) and 76.7in width (1.948mm) to call the new one a ‘mid-size model’ was justified merely by direct comparison to the huge Rolls-Royce Phantom of even larger dimensions. The family roots were obvious from almost identical design clues – and such did include that the Rolls-Royce Ghost showed only negligible alterations of that front view which had ignited harsh comments when it first appeared on the previous model. Another feature that was familiar from the Phantom were the rear-hinged rear doors. However the design was more dynamic overall and this Rolls-Royce Ghost obviously did appeal more towards the owner-driver.

Technical Data:
  • 12 cylinder 60 degree V-configuration
  • Aluminium-silicon alloy cylinder head
  • 6-speed automatic gearbox
  • Digital engine control
  • independent suspension front and rear
  • Ventilated disc brakes with anti-locking device
  • Wheelbase 3,295 mm (129.7 in)
  • Michelin tyres PAX265x790 R540 A 11W on light alloy wheels PAX265x540A ALU (optional tyre size: front Goodyear EMT 255/50R21 106W on alloy wheels 8x21 and rear Goodyear EMT 285/45R21 109W on alloy wheels 9.5x21 rims at the rear)
