BACK IN STOCK: Head Gaskets for Rolls-Royce & Bentley models 1960 to 2004

Rolls-Royce & Bentley V8 Head Gasket (07V103147-X) is now back in stock! We are currently fulfilling all back orders with 100% tested, approved head gaskets

A limited number of these gaskets are available for new orders.. we will, however, be receiving a full stock replenishment within the next few weeks!

In recent months we became aware of an unusual number of failures with Bentley supplied cylinder head gaskets 07V103147 (previously part number UT12890PD), as fitted to Rolls-Royce and Bentley V8 models from 1960 to 2004. These generally manifested themselves as leaks of coolant from the rear or bottom of the cylinder head, sometimes before the engine had been run.

IntroCar shares the same manufacturer as Bentley Motors for head gasket. When the company became aware of the problems reported with head gaskets procured via Bentley Motors, IntroCar froze its stocks and made contact with the manufacturer via its UK distributor. The manufacturer determined that it would indeed be prudent to perform a full inspection of the stock held by the company, to determine if there was a deviation from the original specification. The quantity of stock, and the nature of the testing processes involved, resulted in a significant period while the gaskets have been unavailable from this company, and also later from Bentley Motors.

Those tests have now been completed and the gaskets stocked by IntroCar have been determined to be well within the correct specifications. A limited number of gaskets is now being released for sale commencing 21st October, with the bulk of the stock being made available in the following 4-6 weeks.

This is an established gasket design, but there are potential limitations when using this gasket on engines that have seen much use or are subject to the natural rigours of age and associated deviations in mating surfaces. The tests performed have established that, all other issues being equal, the gasket is suitable for the applications provided by Rolls-Royce Motorcars and later by Bentley Motors. However, the general condition and age of the engine are important factors and it is not within the remit of the manufacturer to make guarantees where factors other than the gasket have a material effect upon its performance.
